Hieroglyphic Being and VIERNULVIER’s first transmission of 2024 travels to the far reaches of sound and space. Quadric Surfaces soundtracks the abstract animations of Gabriela González Rondon’s Parallels Spheres and Figures in Mynd, mirroring the artist’s work with similarly labyrinthine rhythms. Industrial-esque sonics bubble and rattle throughout space on the opening title track, introducing a convergence of cosmic synth plucks, beeps, and squelches, while the slamming beats and corroded synths of ‘Ogee’ grow to intense heights.
