South London’s Luca Lozano returns to Klasse Wrecks for this fourth LP entitled Man of Science. Culled from sessions that date from 2015 to 2022, Man of Science is among Lozano’s most conceptual work yet in spite of the distance between recordings. The spoken word from astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson on the LP’s title track is something like a thesis for the entire affair, a cerebral bit of exposition on the untold power of imaginative thinking. This is reflected in the wide swath of effects and alien-like synth tones Lozano favours throughout.
