While they’re operating as Zonal rather than Techno Animal here, the duo’s commitment to the deepest depths of sound remain intact on the project’s debut LP Wrecked. This record locks into the same earth-shattering anarcho-dub sounds of Martin’s Pressure Records, with the pair serving up a set of enormous slow ragga grooves that fight a running battle with a variety of abrasive noises across the course of Wrecked’s twelve tracks. The record’s first half sees Moor Mother provide a divining rod for Wrecked’s sound through her commanding spoken-word verses.
