Bleep

The prolific DJ Sotofett drops this latest two-track via his own Wania imprint (Busen, Madteo). He takes centre-stage here on A-side ‘Detour Dub’. As one has come to expect from the Norwegian producer, this is a track which reinterprets classic four-on-the-floor club stylings through the DJ’s own unique frame of reference. Acid and minimal techno are screwballed into this zany, somewhat ominous roller. Imagine The Redeemer-era Dean Blunt joining forces with DJ Pierre. Sotofett retreats to the mixing desk for the B-side, allowing producer Vera Dvale and vocalist Merel Laine to pilot the lengthy ambient techno odyssey ‘To Want You’.
