One of the most inventive artists to operate within the early dubstep scene, Appleblim delivers his debut album marking some ten years plus since his debut 12" landed on the now mythical Skull Disco label he ran with Shackleton.

In a career that has seen him go from releasing shivering rhythm and sound dubstep to chomping at the bit garage and techno bangers, all the while running Skull Disco for his own cuts and the sadly missed Apple Pips for others (a label home to some of the finest gear ever from Peverelist, T++, Martyn and Joe) Appleblim's debut album lands on the Hypercolour related Sneaker Social Club label and goes a long way fwd to really showcase the two collective imprints love of garage, house and techno that's been candy-striped in a 100% RAVE-glow sensibility.

From the dubby amen almost Plug-esque pull of NCI to the deep garage Ice Cream recs lick of ITWLTGSTOO, it's clear that Life in a Laser is the sound of Appleblim shaking away any inhibitions to craft anything other than an album that truly brings to the table all of his musical loves: garage, house, techno and dub. While he doesn't seem to push the music to the stern expression and over the top seriousness level some of the peers he came up with now do with their own music ten years on, with Life in a Laser Appleblim has created an album that yields the power of nothing but pure and deadly rave rocket fuel.
