The split between Transformation and Beau Wanzer comes out on Kode, the sub-label belonging to Nation, and offers one work by each producer. Wanzer’s production comes in the form of ‘Oklahoma 3’, a track that bumps forward with the assistance of Wanzer’s Roland drum machines and glassy, promising interludes of melody. Constructed in the winter of 2009, Wanzer’s work is evocative of the dark conditions in which it was completed. Transformation’s ‘Sketch 4’ creeps forward in a sleazy manner, with whisperings of tenebrosity unsettling and defining the atmosphere of the track.
