Hot on the heels of his dreamy full-length Boiling, Steaming and Poaching comes this new three-track from Kelpe. This is a triple-threat of versions of the piece ‘Polymar One’, and while there is a unifying aesthetic that runs through this trio each entry also wends its own way. Those who enjoyed B, S & P will take comfort in the pretty haze that sits over ‘Polymara’ and ‘Polymarb’, both of which display the influence of Boards Of Canada. ‘Polymarb’, with its chugging synths and dainty arpeggios, has a bit of Vangelis going on too. Closing dub ‘Polymarc’ is more somber, but no less pleasing.
