Hot on the heels of February’s Club Studies EP, Dublin’s Krystal Klear serves up a new EP for Running Back. The Division carries on in the same vein as Club Studies, focussing on throwback acid and rave sounds with a late 80s/early 90s flavour to them. That said, this EP is not as brash as Club Studies - only the zany acid of ‘Shockzoid’ would have sounded right on CS - and focuses more on chirpy melodies and synth tones. ‘Neutron Dance’ and ‘Moonshake Miner’ are friendly club dubs that have a fair bit in common with the Northern European neo-disco sound of acts like Lindstrom, Axel Boman and Bjorn Torske.
