Denis Sulta’s third outing on his own Sulta Selects imprint is a paean to classic disco and house. The three tracks of SULTASELECTS-3 are perky party jams that follow on nicely from the Glaswegian’s previous label outings ‘Nein Fortiate’ and ‘Our World (With A Boy On Its Shoulders)’. The combination of 70s disco licks and cosmic house production trickery on ‘D_K_Y (But I Do)’ is reminiscent of early Todd Terje and Lindstrom. Mind you, there’s a distinct sample-house vibe to SULTASELECTS-3 that brings to mind the golden age of Kitsune Maison as well as recent classics like dJJ’s ‘Just a Lil’.
