There’s not a great deal of information about this new release from Central Processing Unit/Computer Club alumnus AB2088, but Replicate talks its own talk. Everything here clatters along at club tempo, with AB2088 generally settling into the same throwback acid/braindance vibe that characterised his previous releases. The wiggly electro-funk of DMX Krew and Silicon Scally is recalled on tracks like ‘D-Waves’ and the eponymous cut, with AB2088 adding just enough harshness to his production to make it freaky without being nasty. This one drops concurrently with AB2088’s Union tape, and both are out via the freshly-minted Liquidators imprint.
