Japanese artist Sugai Ken follows on from past records for Lullabies for Insomniacs and RVNG with this nine track case study of his homelands cultural yesteryear. Having spent recent months investigating the traditions of ancient Japan in order to further his practice, Ken provides an ‘imaginary radio drama’ for the devout listeners to get lost in. Think Ora Clementi, Hour House, early Anthony Manning etc and you’re on the right track.
