Yet another bit of groundbreaking dancefloor fare from the workhouse of Jamal Moss here. The man who also goes by Hieroglyphic Being has had his side-side-hustle as The Sun God for close to 15 years at this point, but The Anticipatory Organization is not the work of an artist who is slowing down. Indeed, some of the music on this EP is among the most visceral and challenging that Moss has ever offered. While ‘The Things We Don’t Know’ steers close to the Afrofuturist House of HB, ‘The Disbelief Habit’ is an arresting mix of booming techno drums and exploratory synthwork. ‘The Achievement Factory’ goes hard too, invoking Berlin techno with its cavernous beatwork.
