Everyone’s favourite DJ returns with his second EP for Ninja Tune offshoot Technicolour (Hieroglyphic Being, Peggy Gou). The five tracks of There’s Always More At The Store all have the same warm, welcoming ambience of 2017’s Hope You’re Well. The lilting grooves and soft keyboards that have long been Project Pablo’s calling card are in full effect on tracks like ‘Napoletana’ and ‘Remind Me Tomorrow’. Even when the melodies turn a little more sour, as on closer ‘I Heard You Breathing’, there is always the feeling that Pablo is guiding you towards the end, making sure you get home safe. We also have an outlier in the form of the impressionistic ambient track ‘Last Day’.
