This 12" has rightly been getting a lot of attention of late with spins coming from everyone of importance within the DNB community as well as labels such as The Trilogy Tapes and Lost Futures caining and praising it on social media. Rightly so, Krust's The Portal/Concealed Treachery is not only the best drum & bass record since Instra:mental was a going concern but also points an entirely new direction forward for the scene as a whole. It's got the sort of razor-edged techy feel of classic No-U Turn, a total steppers rhythm akin to the finest Doc Scott gear (who's 31 Records is unleashing this mighty comeback) yet it is without a doubt, out and out a Krust future-classic through and through. Gut-wrenchingly essential sounds arranged with the mission and motion to move both minds and 'floors alike. Described by Resident Advisor as "one of the strongest comebacks in drum & bass history" and after listening through, we most certainly agree. 100% dealy wares!
