Norwegian DJ duo Smerz look to capitalise on a promising 2018 with this debut EP for XL. The pair of Henriette and Catharina bring the twisted energy of their DJ sets to bear on these eight tracks. Anyone who has listened to their monthly NTS show will recognise the sound palette they put to work on Have Fun. Tracks like ‘Half Life’ and ‘No Harm’ combine techno, muted R&B stylings and strains of experimental pop a la Micachu or Nadsroic. The overall effect of Have Fun isn’t a million miles away from the recent releases of fellow NTS luminary Klein.
