Oumou Sangare showed her range on 2017’s Mogoya LP. An album that featured simultaneously some of her grooviest tracks and some of her sparsest ballads, the Malian’s seventh full-length was a record that lent itself to remix treatment. Everyone from Auntie Flo to Sampha to St. Germain pile in on Mogoya Remixed, and the thirteen numbers here are a real melting pot of styles. It was no surprise that three producers wanted to have a go at chopping up Tony Allen’s drum licks on ‘Yere Faga’. Of the trio, Natureboy Flako’s flip emerges victorious.
