Another curveball release (and first US signing) on Kode 9's Hyperdub that steers left of its affiliated dubstep sound to head up LA's instrumental hip-hop section.

Samiyam is fast becoming a key figure within this exciting hip-hop scene. As well as releasing his 'Rap Beats' album, he also collaborates with Flying Lotus as FLYamSAM. His 'Return EP' is a tasty four tracker that's full of slabs of catchy lo-fi synths and post-Dilla style beats. Highly recommended!
