Jimi Tenor digs deep into the archives of his Sahko imprint for this recently rediscovered, never heard before demo tape from Ismo Laakso. Dada-ist opera sketches and punishing industrial rhythms come together with brute force on this homage to cult favourites Psychic TV. Laakso also manages to channel the likes of Henning Christiansen on some of the albums more relaxing moments (check ‘Koskenhaltija’). Yet more proof that Sahko cannot be pigeonholed! Heavy classical atmospheres on ‘Smell’ that made us think of the work of Hildur Guðnadóttir – top recommendation!
