With the wax still cooling on his NS-18 dub, Levon Vincent drops the follow-up. Similarly to that release, NS-19 features a first-pressing of a track from his download-only LP For Paris (‘Slander Is Terrible’) and a new cut on the B-side. ‘Slander’ is a minimal techno roller that will slot nicely into many a mix. Built from the same kick-and-hat pattern as NS-18’s ‘Baseball’, ‘Slander’ proves more sprightly than its predecessor thanks to a needling synth motif. The flipside seems to bare out the utopian dancefloor ideology that Vincent has developed in the aftermath of his unsavoury comments about the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks - ‘Late Night Reflections’ foregrounds a beautiful, meandering pentatonic lead-line.
