Legendary downtown composer and Arthur Russell collaborator Peter Zummo unveils five lost recordings to follow on from his Optimo reissues. The multi-instrumentalist plays trombone and euphonium whilst a host of fellow musicians (inc. Russell) take to the marimba, congas and cello for almost forty minutes of beautiful avant-garde arrangements. Previously unreleased and from the same sessions as his masterpiece ‘Lateral Pass’, you already know this is going to be great! Frame Loop manages to provide an immediate insight into the classical leaning division of that now-legendary time period of NYC’s musical convergence.
