Six months on from the release of their fourth LP Sis-Boom-Bah back in October 2017, the Amsterdam tech-house duo resurface with the first release on their new Slack Trax imprint. This hand-stamped, vinyl-only release has clearly been cut with one thing in mind - maximum dancefloor impact. Eschewing the excursions into ambient sound design that cropped up all over Sis-Boom-Bah, the pair latch onto these three hard-hitting club cuts with devilish intent. A-side ‘Bellboy SLACK’ is a nimble, funky roller that sounds like Motor City Drum Ensemble being remixed by Robert Hood. On the flip, both ‘SpaceTG SLACK’ and ‘Cherry SLACK’ are eerie cosmic techno numbers.
