Archival remixes of Paper Dollhouse's Aeonflower LP finally see the light of day via the groups MoonDome label, ahead of the new Asher Levitas (Planet Mu) produced album The Sky Looks Different Here, set for release on the 9th February.
Originally set to come out back in 2015 yet for reasons no one seems to remember didn't reach full release, each remixer resculpts Paper Dollhouse's bubblegum industrial sound into new shapes resembling their own audio identity.
The ones to check first are the smoked out ambience of Killing Sound's take on Helios, adding some chilly grime textures that snake through the atmosphere with the same intensity of the now classic KS double pack for Blackest Ever Black. While Hidden Hawaii's DB1 flexes an Autonomic DNB roll to Siren, further fueling rumours of a VIP acetate only version excursion possibly set for release at some point soon. Elsewhere longtime PDH affiliate LTO (Old Apparatus) turns in a brain-melting post-rock-esq mix of Stand, while Aeonflower's original producer Silo transforms In The Sun to a desert eagle Vatican Shadow style techno number.
