One of the stalwarts of the Midwest’s dance music scene drops a new album for London based label Little Beat Different. Opening with that classic jakbeat sound, ‘The Pines’ is an eight minute track that centres around some mournful strings and an unrelenting acid groove. We’re off to a good start. ‘Alone In The Dark’ is a no frills club cut that’s heavy on the drums yet still has that same slightly mournful atmosphere running through it. Some of these slightly remind us of those old Bluejean 12”s on Code Blue (high praise!).
