Having taken a break from his Paradygm Shift EP series to drop an LP - also called Paradygm Shift - in 2017, the early days of 2018 has Robert Hood returning to Dekmantel to finish what he started. The final installment of the trio sees Mr. Detroit sticking to his guns. ‘Red Machine’ and ‘Transform’ are the sort of dancefloor odysseys that Hood’s name is usually associated with, though both play their hand slightly differently. ‘Red Machine’ is a quick, hyperactive techno cut with drums that will sound absolutely amazing in cavernous surroundings. ‘Transform’, meanwhile, is slower and more measured, leaning heavier on deep house and dub techno stylings.
