Two new works from the hero of American minimalism. Both originally written for performance back in 2013 and 2015, ‘Quartet’ is a wild journey through frequent key changes and instrument complexities whereas ‘Pulse’ fits more in line with his well known, meditative marimba works of the past. Electric bass and wind and string instruments come together magically whilst ‘Quartet’ somehow manages to mask the ensemble's virtuosity with a facade of restraint.
