Phono Ghosts and Sferro team up for the searching synthwave of Alive in the Timeless Void, five original tracks coming backed with a remix from BOC fav's Odd Nosdam pressed to a limited ‘ocean blue’ cassette tape and available up front now ahead of its general release in 2018.
Like all Fonolith releases, Alive in the Timeless Void sounds like it could be the soundtrack from some sort of 80's b-movie, badly dubbed visuals soundtracked by some series experiments being undertaken on the sort of gear that made John Carpenter's visual and audio adventures so timeless. With Sferro in the studio though, Fonolith's finding a new way to express his musical self, with elements of the post-dubstep purple wave of artists such as Gemmy and even the Wigflex squad holding tight. For us though, the undoubted highlight is Odd Nosdam's remix. Highlighting his recent year's crossover Sister with the standard Fonolith haunted emanation.
