Touch Records (Biosphere, Gavin Bryars) drop the second release in their FOLIO series. Movement is an audiovisual odyssey, with the thirty-three sonic works here intended to be enjoyed in tandem with the accompanying seventy-six page photograph album. The booklet has been compiled by famed graphic designer Jon Wozencroft, and the twin CD forms a delightful interplay as you turn his pages. The musical contributions come in all shapes and sizes - there is plenty of concrete and found sound, but around every corner lurks an industrial shock (Wire’s ‘A Year A Second (For BCG)’), a micro-ambience like Fennesz’s ‘Paint It Black’, or the dronescape of Jim O’Rourke’s ‘Despite The Water Supply’.
