Super cool and somewhat unexpected debut for Latvian composer Sign Libra on Zaltan’s ever-expanding Antinote label. We must admit it’s quite frightening to see Antinote 40 releases deep now! Sign Libra utilises heavily digital FM synth and relaxing, meditative processed vocals to craft music that sits somewhere between Len Leise, Peter Westheimer’s new age recordings and recent Domestic Exile signing Cucina Povera. Each of the six tracks here reflect the same sound palette but arranged and interpreted in slightly different manners. We must agree with the nod to German kosmiche group Software that the press release cite as an influence too!
