Heavy synth action on the likes of ‘Passaggio A Nord-Ovest’ (an epic session that sounds like Cluster on cocaine). Sula Strada weaves between short vignettes and fully realised 22 minute odysseys, stopping along the way to provide theatrical stage & screen sonics. There’s a dark atmosphere present throughout here - long gone are the woozy tropical atmospheres of the first half of Vernal Equinox. Super good one and an album a lot of Hassell fans might not even be aware of!
