Italo disco legend Fred Ventura unveils eight lost house/bleep techno inspired tracks via the Mannequin label. Best known for a slew of camp, high NRG disco records in the tail end of the 80s (including ‘Lost in Paris’), Ventura was also secretly working away on darker and more stripped back productions. These cuts sound every bit indebted to Richard H. Kirk as they do Fockewulf 190, classic Juno 106 keys and TR909 drums combined with inventive sampling and a passion for the dance. ‘Technologies’ sounds like its straight out of some 80s robot themed B-movie.
