Off the back of Second Storey’s excellent 2017 LP Lucid Locations, Houndstooth have commissioned a set of remixes entitled Lucid Interpretations. This vinyl drop zooms in on four of the best. Marcel Dettmann provides both ‘Positive’ and ‘Negative’ takes on his version of ‘No Such Location’. While both are built on the same fizzing electro-techno groove, the latter has slightly more to it in the way of melody. ‘Moesha Moved To Margate’ is given a CPU-ish workover by Radioactive Man, while The Exaltics double-down on the IDM-tinged techno of ‘Ajunlei 8’.
