This release represents the second vinyl pressing of the elusive E. Myers’s ‘Love’ and ‘Hate’, and third total drop if you include a download-only three-track from 2016. It’s a testament to the enduring power of the tracks that labels and fans keep coming back for more. ‘Love’ remains a jacked delight, fusing classic Chicago House flavours with darkwave and coldwave influences for a lovely piece of retromania. ‘Hate’ is an even headier brew, sounding like a lost version of Frankie Knuckles’s ‘Your Love’ that had been given a going-over by Joy Division. This release comes with a new version of ‘Hate’, a dubby electro twist that wouldn’t sound out of place on Optimo. Whoever E. Myers is, they’re still cranking out the hits.
