Hard to predict, that Mosca. The producer who made his name back in 2010 with the pop-and-lock club-hop banger ‘Tilt Shift’ has subsequently tried everything from speed garage to jacking house to really strange techno. After a year where he seems largely to have been concentrating on the latter, he makes an abrupt left turn here and comes through with these two 80s-dancehall-style rubs. ‘Fever’ is an update of King Tubby’s classic riddim, while ‘Prento’ is Mosca’s own take on the Firehouse Sound. Like every other genre he’s tried his hand at, he conquers this style with ease.
