It’s been a good 2017 for these two Bristolian scenesters. Andy Mac has dropped twice via Idle Hands, and Ossia has been behind a drop on Berceuse Heroique. As the year closes out, the pair join forces for this dub-indebted twelve inch. ‘Soup Riddim’ and ‘Cado’ both forefront Jamaican influence that has been rumbling in the lines of their solo releases for some time now. The former is a lights-low dancehall jam, with a soft dem-bow underpinning a mournful vocal loop, while the latter is a syrupy lo-fi clatter that makes one think of Mo Kolours. The pair close out with the impressionistic, droning ambience of ‘Linguine Loop’. This is one to sink into.
