The good folk at Long Island Electrical Systems come through with one of their rawest releases yet. Svengalisghost is already well-known for a couple of brutal industrial techno drops via L.I.E.S. in the early 2010s. The producer ends his absence from the label with this six-track set, recorded live on French radio in 2015. TV Live is an unsettling listen, full of hazy samples and spooky rhythms. There is a mutant tropicalia vibe to the likes of ‘Invisible Eyes’ and ‘Nightwalker’, almost as if Damien Dubrovnik had had a go at making Balearic house. Not for the faint of heart.
