Three Trapped Tigers member Tom Rogerson takes some time out from the day job to make an LP with Brian Eno (you would, wouldn’t you). Approaching the record via another of Eno’s creative strategies - in this case using software to manipulate the signals sent by playing a piano - Finding Shore does a fine job of combining the heavenly bliss-scapes for which Eno is famous with the kind of thrust found in the music of TTT. Tracks like ‘On-Ness’ and ‘Quoit Blue’ float serenely along, recalling the piano pieces of French impressionists Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy, while ‘Red Slip’ and ‘Motion in Field’ are given rhythmic impetus by some studio trickery.
