Touched Music are a fine label with a noble cause. Each of their releases raises cash for Macmillan Cancer Support by providing the discerning listener with release after release of top-shelf electronic music. This latest offering is a ten-track LP from Karsten Pflum, and the Danish producer’s sound is an enjoyably zany combination of techno, electro-pop and IDM. Tracks like ‘Reichenberger Electro’ and ‘Montpellier Disco’ are perky dancefloor tracks which zip about the monitors and wouldn’t sound out of place on Greco-Roman. Following seven solo cuts, Pflum gives the floor to remixers for the album’s closing trio. The pick of the bunch here is former Future Sound Of London member Humanoid’s journey-into-sound rework of ‘Borg Acid’.
