Four new tough as nails club riddims from the Gqom camp. Masive Q and Andile T drop another 12” on the Goon Club imprint under their Rudeboyz alias and it delivers yet again. If you haven’t already heard the Gqom sound then imagine the hardest UK funky bangers blended with South African kwaito/house motifs and some added sample swagger and you’re on the right path. ‘Major Turn Up’ opens the record and pretty much sounds exactly like the title would have you imagine. ‘No Mercy’ is perhaps the most warped cut, insane neck snapping percussion and an understated minimalist attitude that is guaranteed to make it work wonders in the club.
