When not doing his Beau Wanzer thing for L.I.E.S., Nation and the like, the Chicago producer likes to team up with his mate Dan Jugel and make no-BS techno under the name Juzer. This heavy seven-inch sees the pair lean hard on the drums to create two club traxx par excellence. A-side ‘Maiden Japan’ is a chatty piece of techno wonk, one where loping a loping kick drum burrows its way into your brain. On the flip, ‘The Gold Room’ is a high-energy cut full of skittish percussion and buried vocals.
