There was a time when it felt like all of the best singles in the NME had been produced by Erol Alkan, and that his ubiquity would last for the rest of our lives. Though that’s sadly not the case, the producer has somewhat returned prominence in 2017, producing Ride’s comeback LP Weather Diaries and now putting a load of his old remixes to wax again. This one sees his much-loved dub of Hot Chip’s seminal ‘Boy From School’ paired with an unusually restrained and tender flip of Connan Mockasin’s ‘Forever Dolphin Love’.
