Moritz Von Oswald & Ordo Sakhna team up for a self-titled album devoted to the roots music of Kyrgyzstan.
While his fellow Basic Channel'er Mark Ernestus dives deeper into the percussive waters of his Ndagga Rhythm Force, Moritz Von Oswald sets sail to explore the traditional music of Kyrgyzstan with this incredible album. For those hoping for some of that dub techno-magic that Moritz cemented his eternal legendary status with, you'd be better trying to cop Ernestus's Equiknoxx remixes from a few weeks back. As the tone here is as equally stunning, but remarkably different. Switching between flooring acapellas that are sure to transport you to areas of almost spiritual significance. These are balanced with lucid and intimate percussion led pieces that sound quite unlike anything Moritz has turned his hand to before.
An ocean of sound awaits those set to spend some time here, calming and ravishing yet endlessly flowing in the direction of something just out of sight. Truly beautiful music that is as timeless as the techno that we imagine many of you were searching for upon your arrival here.
