New works from Christina Kubisch! We first heard her Night Flights LP around 2012 or so and have been fans ever since. Conjuring up delirious dream states, hazy drone soundscapes and electrically charged gallery sonics her work is revered the world over. Here she presents ‘Tesla’s Dream’ alongside Eleh’s ‘Ohmage/Resistor’ for a limited split LP on Important. Eleh focuses on a minimalistic piano/modular combination whilst Kubisch blends a wide array of field recordings and found sound with analog synthesisers. Does Kubisch succeed in evoking images of the tesla coil in action? Try closing your eyes and listening intently.
