One-third of the Studio Barnhus crew, Stockholm’s Kornel Kovacs drops a two-track 10” on Endless Flight (Prins Thomas, Optimo). No messing around from the Axel Boman-affiliate here, just two sample-house bangers guaranteed to bring smiles to the party. A-side ‘Szamar’ wouldn’t sound out of place dropping on Lone’s Magic Wire imprint. With a lo-fi crackle and bounding rhythm track, Kovacs spins a chirpy loop out into a fun and fresh club jam. B-side ‘Order To The Senses’ flips an original by Snacks which surfaced on Mule Musiq’s 2016 compilation I’m Starting To Feel Okay. Kovacs smashes the wistful original together with Mixed Grill’s Afro-Disco classic ‘Brand New Wayo’ to create a funky, spacey roller.
