Vermont - a duo comprised of Marcus Worgull and Danilo Plessow of Motor City Drum Ensemble fame - dropped their second LP on Kompakt back in February of 2017. An album that largely eschewed beatwork in favour of freeform synthesiser exploration, II was a record that cried out for the remix treatment. Dixon’s take on ‘Dschuna’ maintains the original’s feeling of nervy caution while incorporating skittering percussion and a helter-skelter bleep track. I:Cube’s dub of ‘Skorbut’ is a cosmic techno jack with a hint of b-movie camp to it. Things close out with Wassermann’s flip of ‘Paradigma’, a more conventional roller in the Innervisions mould.
