Delsin Records (Erdbeerschnitzel, A Made Up Sound) see their long relationship with Manchester stalwart Claro Intelecto bear more fruit. This latest LP from the one born Mark Stewart goes deep into the sound of dub techno in a way that recalls frequent collaborator Andy Stott. Cuts like ‘Ageless Eyes’ and ‘Mr Stewart’ are propulsive, richly-textured rollers which sweep you up in their flow. There are hints of industrial techno to both, and this sound is explored further (along with acid) on ‘Amino Acid’. Experiments in impressionistic soundscaping like ‘Slither - The Way Home’ provide a change of pace without letting the feeling of Exhilarator slip away.
