Gene’s Liquor boss and ghetto house champion of Ron Mo’s L.I.E.S imprint drops a collection of twenty two new jams on his L.A Club Resource label. Taking in drum machine workouts a la Steve Poindexter, dusty boogie spin offs and low swung funk beats. Since debuting with the vintage house sound of his ‘4 Club Use Only’ 12” the producer has turned his hand to a fairly wide array of styles, basically all of which are to be found on this new compilation. Whether you’ve been following his stuff or not, this is worth taking the time out to explore a little!
