Don’t Be Afraid (Karen Gwyer, Samrai) front the latest EP from techno experimentalist rRoxymore. Though the three tracks that make up Thoughts Of An Introvert Part 1 will sound great on the floor, there is a depth of texture and feeling of control to rRoxymore’s production that evinces her work in a variety of genres down the years. For instance, the strange chords, unusual vocal sample and oddly chirpy flute of ‘Prodrome’ could have spawned from her time working on site-specific sound installations. In a techno context, they are hypnotic.
