One of the brains behind Sheffield club night Banana Hill follows a release on Marcel Vogel’s Lumberjacks in Hell with a two-track for Black Acre. The producer captures the exuberant energy of the Banana Hill parties perfectly on ‘Deyo’. Opening with a cornucopia of percussion, a hyperactive house beat soon gets the track by the throat and refuses to let go for seven minutes. B-side ‘Kasoa’ repeats the trick as well as adding in a nice thick bass lick. The effect is not dissimilar to that of Jun Kamoda’s excellent recent EP Blind Disco, another Black Acre drop.
