First time vinyl edition for this spaced out, sleazy porno groove/futurism inspired downtempo gem. Giombini was mostly known for his computer disco tracks and the cult classic Mondial Folk series, but the Italian was unbelievably prolific and turned his hand to a wide array of cinema sonics. ‘The Beast in Space’ borrows as much from obscure sex funk (Think of that funny French 7” ‘Fu King’ etc) as it does from horror synth a la Mort Garson’s Ataraxia. It’s heavily cinematic, definitely more than a bit psychedelic and is also one of the composers least heard soundtracks! Worth a look for sure
