Finally. Sweyn Jupiter has been knocking about on the scene for so long now that it’s amazing to think that this four-track EP is his first solo release. Sweyn Flu (great name) makes good on the promise that the producer has shown in his many collaborative projects down the years. Trap is the style that dictates the direction of opener ‘Never One Of Us’ and the subsequent title track, albeit trap imagined through the typically kaleidoscopic lens of a Night Slugs release. The back end of the EP is more considered, with ‘Aloe Sour’ a sexy fusion of grime, electro-funk and r&b that recalls Sweyn’s old friend Bok Bok.
